Learnology Integrity Recovery Program
About the Program
Program Name: Learnology IR (LIR): Learnology Integrity Recovery
Audience: High School Students (U.S. Only)
Cost: Free
Annual Capacity: 500 students
The Learnology IR Program is a national academic integrity recovery initiative designed for high school students who have committed an academic violation (e.g., cheating, plagiarism, misuse of AI). Our goal is to help students rebuild their integrity through reflection, education, service, and outreach. This program is restorative in nature, not punitive, and seeks to empower students to grow into ethical learners and future leaders.
Participants will engage in a structured, guided experience that includes personal reflection, community service, peer tutoring, integrity education, and a capstone project. All components must be completed within a designated timeframe, and all submissions must be emailed to the official Learnology email provided upon acceptance.
Program Components Include:
Application Process: Filling out an application form to get selected into the program.
Educational Requirements: Completion of the "Why Cheating Hurts You" module and 50-question quiz, and a 1,000-word research essay with at least 10 credible sources on academic dishonesty and its real-world consequences.
Community Engagement: Students must complete 20 verified hours of community service relating to education.
Final Project (choose one):
Build a resource to teach others about academic honesty.
Create a short film, animation, or PSA about cheating.
Develop a slide deck for middle schoolers about academic dishonesty.
Launch a real social media campaign on academic integrity.
Design a comic, infographic, or zine based on real examples.
Execute a local or global education-based service project tied to integrity.
Fundraise or collect used textbooks for underserved schools.
Write a “No Shortcuts” workbook for kids in struggling schools.
Final Reflection: Write letters of growth to the teacher involved in the cheating incident and their school counselor, with email proof of submission included.
Each project or outreach component must be documented with photos, reports, or videos and submitted to the Learnology official email.
